A high-quality underlay prevents squeaking or creaking and reduces the sound of your steps in the room and the floor below. It’s an essential item to keep your floor in great shape and will significantly improve your living comfort once installed.
Remember, if your floor comes with an attached pad, you do not need an extra underlay. Keep in mind that you will still need to use a moisture barrier.

We strongly advise using a BerryAlloc underlay, as these are manufactured to best support our floors.
A pre-attached premium underlay, available for our Comfort high pressure floors. Reduces noise by more than 19 decibels. Make sure to use a moisture barrier when installing a floor with attached SilentSystem.
A moisture barrier works as a protective layer to prevent moisture from transferring from the existing (sub)floor to your floor.
Our underlays work as moisture barriers, so you won’t need this separately, but you do require one when installing a floor with an attached pad. If you are installing your floor directly onto a wooden surface, there’s no need for a moisture barrier.
Our moisture barriers are available for high pressure floors, parquet, and strong wood floors, and are optional for a luxury vinyl floor.
