BerryAlloc - Laminate Floors

Match the colours in your interior like a pro.

Together with renowned colour experts, we’ve worked out a tool that will help you match your floor to the rest of your interior. You read that right – your interior will be picture-perfect in just a few steps!

BerryAlloc - Laminate Floors

Defining your floor’s colour character.

Although the colour of your floor seems fairly obvious at first sight, it has a whole layer of subtle undertones. These underlying shades are defined as your floor’s colour character. The good news is, we’ve done the hard work for you: alongside any BerryAlloc floor, you’ll find a little coloured dot that represents the colour character.

🟡  Yellow         🟣  Purple

🟠  Orange      🔵  Blue

🔴  Red             🟢  Green

How does it work?

Use our chromatic colour wheel to guide your decisions. Did you know it actually works in two ways?

  • If you already have a floor in mind, you can use it to determine the colours of your interior.
  • Or are you working with a specific colour scheme? Choose your floor based on that.

Harmonious colours.

Use the same colour as your floor’s colour character, or neighbouring colours on the colour wheel. For example: if your floor has a red character, this means using variations of red, orange, and purple.

Contrasting colours.

Use colours that are directly opposite to your floor’s colour character on the chromatic colour wheel. For example: if your floor has a red character, offset it with green elements in your interior.

Is the theory still feeling a bit abstract? Don’t stress! We’ve got a great example to clear things up!

Watch this short video and meet Caroline, our brilliant design expert. She’ll show you how she created a harmonious moodboard using Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2025, Mocha Mousse.
