sustainability
Strong wood floors use less natural resources per floorboard, making them more affordable. Wood floors with a clean, uniform look without knots or cracks are very much prized, making them highly exclusive. By using only a thin layer of wood veneer, these looks are now more accessible.
With a waterproof 100% wood fibre core using up to 30% recycled wood, strong wood floors are fully recyclable at the end of the floor's lifecycle. Along with protected bevels, an extra-strong lock, and a new, innovative method of applying our ultra-resistant Ultimtec varnish, our strong wood floors are equipped with sustainable and durable technologies to provide families with a long-lasting floor.
Easy to clean and maintain, and without affecting the natural beauty of a wood floor, BerryAlloc strong wood floors are varnished using the innovative Ultimtec technology, providing added strength with a class 33 durability and extra protection: Ultimtec protects the wood down to the deepest pores, keeping dirt and water at bay. Free from harmful solvents, Ultimtec guarantees a healthier indoor environment, with an A+ certification and emitting a low amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Tradition meets innovation in these beautiful oak floors, made in Meaulne, France. In supporting French parquet, you’re supporting a local industry and rich patrimony that values and respects wood and the sustainably managed, PEFC-certified forests in which it grows – as the European leader in hardwood, France processes all its wood near its origins. The local production site is also fully supported by its own biomass energy plant, using sawdust to power it.
Wood is a renewable resource that naturally stores CO2 during its growth – this carbon storage can retain up to one tonne of CO2 per cubic metre. Our strong wood floors also use an HDF board, mainly composed of wood fibres, to support the wood surface. The CO2 captured throughout the tree’s lifecycle more than offsets the fossil fuel emissions generated during manufacturing*. Plus, all wood materials originate from sustainably managed PEFC-certified forests.

BerryAlloc’s strong wood floors are made with nature in mind, through conscious and careful management of premium quality natural materials. By manufacturing a thinner layer of wood veneer, we’re able to get ten times more surface coverage from the same piece of wood. That means using ten times less wood for the same surface as a traditional parquet floor. A thin layer of wood, paired with an impact-resistant HDF board, makes these floors up to ten times stronger and more durable than parquet.
BerryAlloc’s strong wood floors are built up from nature using modern and sustainable technologies, resulting in an eco-friendly product of exceptional beauty and quality. These wood floors combine the best of both worlds: the beauty and warmth of a real wood surface with the ease and durability of a floor that’s stronger than parquet, just as beautiful and made to last.
